Port McNeill, B.C. - Elections Canada is making it easier than ever for North Island residents to vote with wide-spread use of mail-in ballots - in addition to the regular advance polls in each community, and election-day voting.

Retrieved from Elections BC:

October 1, 2020. "Elections BC is closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic and taking all necessary steps to ensure the next provincial election remains safe and accessible for all voters.

During a pandemic, vote by mail is a good option for voters with underlying health conditions and for voters who do not wish to vote in person at a voting place.

You will need to provide your name, date of birth, address, and one of the following identification numbers:

  • your B.C. driver’s licence number,

  • your B.C. Identification Card number,

  • the last six digits of your Social Insurance Number, or

  • the last six digits of your Personal Health Number.

To request a vote-by-mail package, you will also be asked to provide an email address or telephone number where you can be reached.

To protect voter privacy, you will not be able to look up voter registration information. View our privacy policy.

Online Voter registration for the October 24, 2020 Provicial General Election is now closed.

Here are some options:

1. Request a vote-by-mail package

Instruction will be provided with your package if you need to register or update your information.

2. Vote in person

You can register or update at the voting place. Be sure to bring your identification. View our Where to Vote page for information about voting opportunities. "
